WOYWW

Just like at home, I have created a corner in the cozy cottage at Sundance Utah.

I cut out more house shapes before i left and am collaging them.

A wonderful and whimsical artist, Brandy Emerson gave me the book,

Steal Like An Artist.

I had seen it before but never read this powerful

and motivating book. I am crossing my fingers that this will post from my ipad.

    1. I am glad it posted at all but still have not learned how to edit. I'm working on it :) between walks and nature watching, oh and World Cup soccer, there's not much time :). The book is short, to the point with meaty tips that I found helpful. It's written in 10 short chapters that are easily read but gives specific pointers. xo

  5. Your world is so inviting Irene. It looks like such a getaway place. I want to read that book. I just finished his second book "Show Your Work". It was very motivating also.

    1. Thanks for visiting, Lisa. It is a cozy getaway. Isn't that a coincidence that we are reading books by the same author? I read some reviews about Show your Work but am glad to see you have found it motivating. I'll get a copy.

    1. It's very different from my home near the Pacific. I so love to see so much green, though I adore all that NYC has to offer. Thank you for visiting today.

    1. Hi Morag, sometimes being in a whole new environment shakes up the senses and memories in a good way. I feel that way reading blogs from different amazing locations over the world, like the Isle of Skye :)

    1. Hi Diane, I had seen the book before I received it as a gift and thought it might be simplistic. To the contrary, I found much I can use and practice. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

  12. What inspiration can be found there. Did you go on a retreat, Irene, or were you simply visiting a creative friend who just happened to live in paradise?
