using one of my sketches

and another with my sketch...

or half a sketch :)

kitties painted on a post card

a friend snuck a photo

while i set up on the print press

printed grape leaves and curly ques

i received these beautiful gifts

a stunning atc from the so very

talented mixed media artist annie hamman

and this charming atc and lilting poem

and my fellow corita kent enthusiast,

jacki long so generously gave me this

bag with a corita quote

and a booklet full of her postcards.

if you don't know of corita, which i have

learned, many do not,  she is a sours

of endless inspiration.

balance can refer to so many things....

balance in one's life

balance in movement

balance as in check book

balance in an art piece

i try to stop before a piece

is overworked

and then come back later

with (hopefully) fresh eyes.

this is not a right or wrong way to do things.

it's just the way i tend to roll.

thank you for visiting.
have a lovely day

if you are not familiar with artist trading cards,

or ATCs, they are 2.5 x 3.5 inch little pieces of art.

the artist is free to create using any medium.

i belong to an international atc group.

we have a different themes which we use as a guideline

and mail our art to the other members six times a year.

my friend john and i are the only members from the us.

others hail from england, sweden, germany, new zealand,

and isreal.  it is such a pleasure to go to my

mail box and find and envelope, often decorated

with a surprise tiny piece of art.  some days, to extend

the intrigue,  i just let the envelope sit on my desk unopened

and imagine what delight is inside waiting for me.

recently, i participated in another trade with a group of

ten from an online workshop.

i have missed you!

i haven't disappeared, i have been posting on instagram

instead of my blog and Facebook.

all in the family, acrylic on canvas

it takes me a while to

become accustomed to a new venue.

5 x 7 acrylic and ink on cardboard

i have continued to

paint daily.  lately, i have had a bunny obsession

caught, red-handed making bunnies!

mono print on paper

so i present

them to you today.

mono print on paper

i hope you like them!

acrylic and ink on cardboard

i visited chicago this past week...

trump tower, by night...a bit ominous, don't you think?

thank you for visiting.

this post is linked with paint party friday.
