this week

in this studio

i tried to capture the magic light that beckons every morning

this started as a painted canvas that has been sitting unfinished.

it needed more than paint

so i collaged using mainly printed tissue papers.

i made a copy of a previous painting and tore it.

then glued it into my journal and painted another face.

on the adjacent page i made a pcket.

on individual pieces of paper i wrote

different dares and what i thought might

happen if i dared do it.  it was a

revealing exercise.

another copy of a previous face glued to

my journal.  i painted, stenciled

and then collaged a dress

these next are teabags.

others visiting me today.

that's it for my creative week.

how was your week?

  2. Wow!!! You are such an imaginative artist. With that said you also allow the viewer to use their imagination with your art. Dose that make sense? Well it dose to me. Love it all.

    1. Hi Linda, When I read your comment, I thought about the light at those times of the day. It's a softer light than when the sun is straight up. I like it very much.

  16. Your teabag faces continue delightful. It is good to remake an old work too - so easy just to put things aside but there's often another approach to be found.

  17. I really enjoy exploring journal pages. It's interesting how they are made... (not my thing to do).
Your teabags are really something unique. Do you collect them in a box or where do you put them, how you use them? Great idea!
