faces this week 4-7

29 faces challenge

day 4

day 5

day 6

day 7

these were all re-dos from previously painted

canvases or on heavy paper.  on paintings 5, 6 and 7.

i am remiss at not having taken before pictures.

next time i will try to remember before i dig in.

i am trying a different brush stroke and paint

application.  i dip my brush into paint on both sides

of the brush and apply the paint quickly, trying

not to get mud.  the canvas is pretty wet most of the time.

ok...now i'm caught up.

day 3, 29 faces

i had this unfinished canvas for a while.

it was started in a workshop led by

teesha moore.  she was very specific in her

lessons.  the papers are from her collage sheets.

acrylic ink was added

using bamboo and found sticks

then a little black gesso

and white stabile pen with more

stick painting.

i will probably add more later.

but for now, i will stop.

day 1, 29 faces challenge

this is a face i painted on a cradle board but

did not like the whole composition.  i printed it

and the face on an 8 x 8 watercolor paper

that i marbleized.  i continued to add  more

layers of collage and paint.   she looks a little

worried and might a bit of a smile.

i am posting my faces this month
with 29 faces.  thank you ayala.
