day 7, 30 paintings in 30 days
i started this painting a while ago. after finishing a smaller
similar painting i wanted a larger painting with brighter colors.
doing a painting a day does not give much time for a thought
process. i like that because it encourages the intuitive decisions.
i am also taking on a drawing challenge that i saw on instagram
under #cbdrawaday. i have not kept up a regular drawing
practice. i start then stop and then remember that i should start
again. once i make a commitment, i try to honor that and
this will give me an incentive to draw for the month of january.
here are my drawings to date. i skipped on day which was sneakers
because i wasn't excited about the subject. i will probably go back and
give it a whirl.
and i did one more fun project with my
experimental art group this week.
paper dolls!
so as you can see, i've been busy!
tell me what you have been doing.
posting with paint party friday and
30 paintings in 30 days
Love your work especially the first piece, happy PPF, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteALL TERRIFIC, ESPECIALLY LOVE THE PAPER DOLLS! ♥
ReplyDeleteyou sure have been busy! Fabulous art projects-I love the colorful dress on the woman in the first piece!
ReplyDeleteLove your art work, especially the first photo. Happy PPF
ReplyDeleteVery interesting painting! I like the contrast between the bold colours and the black and white. And those paper dolls are fabulous! You're right that when there's not much time to think, you're creating more intuitively and often these paintings are the most interesting. I really should get back into the habit of creating daily...
ReplyDeleteI am astounded at what you can do in a day...day after day! Amazing!
ReplyDeleteYou have been busy Irene,
ReplyDeleteI did a similar drawing challenge in October. It was called InkTober and I really enjoyed it. I only commit to one or two challenges a year because I know I'll have difficulty keeping to more.
That first painting is so vibrant and gives a glorious colour boost to any day.
Happy PPF to you
Interestin projects. My fav are the large gorgeous painting and cute paperdolls.
