29 Faces Art Challenge, Day 4

mixed media on wood

i found a piece of wood in back of my garage.

so i decided it needed a coat of gesso,

some found papers and paint.

then, guess what....

it needed a face.

a face a day is really pushing me.

i like it :)

and you?

  2. It's pushing it, but you are stepping it up Irene!! This is a fabulous piece, it has so much atmosphere. I love her expression and the rich layers. I am going to struggle during the weekdays to do anything this wonderful as now as after the long school holidays have started back at work full time. But I am on a mission so will keep at it. :)

  3. I'm so sorry to be late commenting - life is really getting in the way, but hopefully I'll have more time soon.
I have looked back and enjoyed every one of your faces, all so different and beautifully done. I like your reasons for using mixed media, and it certainly suits you and allows your talent and creativity to show through. All very inspiring works, they certainly inspire me. Thank you.

  4. I have just come across your blog whilst checking out posts for the 29 Faces Challenge. I am not taking part in the challenge myself as I am just starting out painting faces and I think I would struggle with doing a face a day. I think your work is lovely and I am now your latest follower and look forward to seeing what you do next.
