on my easel this week

acrylic and ink

i am not sure where it is going

but that is not an unusual state for me.

i will wait and come back to see whether

the next round of painting will uncover more.

wondering if you are more deliberate in your approach to a painting?

view from my little deck

wishing you a lovely long holiday weekend.

we in southern california are experiencing a very warm

and humid (for the west coast) week.  perfect for outdoor dining, candles

twinkling white lights well into the night.

i join eva and kristen at ppf with other artists
who show their art.  won't you visit?

  1. I am so interested in how this is going to turn out,Irene. I know you will get there in the end. A warm evening of outdoor dining, candles and twinkling lights sounds very idyllic. It is dull and raining here today. Enjoy your weekend.

  6. I'd love to see how you finish this Irene. I already see a figure of a man lifting up the figure of a woman-perhaps his love? Lovely sunset. Enjoy!

  10. This is just stunning and I can't wait to see what it becomes. I work in a more exploratory fashion in the collages I do for myself, and also in my sketchbooks, but am relatively focused on other work... But it is more that it is informed by the exploring I have done earlier if you know what I mean... Have. A great long weekend
